Administrative Assistant

Reports To: Program Coordinator/Media Manager
Hours: Part Time (20 hours per week. Exact schedule TBD)
Compensation: (TBD, Commensurate with Experience)

Purpose:

Manage all the clerical needs of the church, prepare all printed materials. Manage the preparation of all printed and electronic content for the Sunday worship service each week. Maintain a positive atmosphere and healthy work environment for the UACC office.

Office Duties:

  • Handle incoming calls/messages/mail

  • Greet and direct people who enter the office

  • Maintain/update the church calendar and directory (As needed)

  • Update church member contact information in Servant Keep database (As needed)

  • Maintain records of membership, baptisms, weddings, and funerals (As needed)

  • Prepare regular or bulk mailings for UACC staff, committees, and organizations (As needed)

  • Prepare the Sunday worship folders (Weekly)

  • Prepare Easy Worship for Sunday worship and other services (At least weekly).

  • Organize and clear out newspapers and journals on display shelves in the library (As needed)

  • Compile and publish the Annual Report (Annually in March)

  • Manage email lists in Mail Chimp and send out regular email correspondence to the congregation (Daily)

  • Other assigned tasks (As Needed)

Qualifications:

  • Able to articulate and relate a personal testimony of faith 

  • Able to type in English (Typing in Armenian a plus)

  • A lifestyle that demonstrates a strong commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ

  • Strong language skills, both written and oral, in Armenian and English

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Competence with computer programs for word processing, dan publications

  • Knowledgeable and able to navigate effectively in current electronic technology

  • Good people skills
