Standing Victorious - Report on AEWF Western Region Fall Virtual conference

Saturday, November 13, the Armenian Evangelical women of the West Coast joined together for Standing Victorious, their Fall Virtual Conference. I was blessed to participate and attend! During the conference, we heard three wonderful ladies speak on 1 Corinthians 15:57-58: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Lara Cholakian Khoury walked us through 1 Corinthians 15. She emphasized the fact that the gospel is a divine plan and Christ’s resurrection is our victory. We look forward to the day when our bodies will be raised glorious and imperishable as His is. Noelle Daoudian Nightingale continued by elaborating on the opportunity we have to live victoriously. Each day, we have the choice to focus on Christ and daily live in His victory. We do this by consistently being in the Word and praying for God’s guidance. Finally, Alina Melkonian Balabanian concluded by bringing us back to verse 58: “Be steadfast, immovable, giving yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.” She highlighted the fact that the Word must guide the work. We celebrate the fact that God has solved our greatest problem of sin. Salvation is a gift freely offered to those who will put their trust in Jesus!

All three speakers emphasized that Christ has already WON! He defeated sin and death on the cross and rose victoriously! Now, Jesus calls us to go and do His work. In order to share Christ’s love and shine His light, we MUST abide in the Word. Beloved, we are victorious and not only that, the Lord has given us everything we need to live for Him!

The full conference program can be viewed here.

2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”

Let us commit ourselves to Him once more, waiting in eager expectation for His return and knowing the battle is ALREADY won!
