The AEWF Western Region 16th Biennial convention was held October 4-6, 2019 in Fresno, California and drew 120 women. “Discovering Our Purpose in Christ” was the theme, based on Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”. Keynote speaker for the weekend was Alina Melkonian Balabanian from Calvary Armenian Congregational Church, San Francisco.
Beginning Friday evening and concluding with a communion worship service on Sunday led by Rev. Jonelle Garo Kazarian, the program featured messages, seminars and worship times. Each participant received a bag filled with goodies donated by National Raisin Company, Caruthers Raisins, Gene Kizirian, Jeffrey Melkian and Dr. Jason Keledjian.
