Commemorating the Armenian Genocide


"Struck down, but not destroyed"

Remembering, honoring, and standing in faith together


A solemn and meaningful Armenian Genocide Rememberance service was held at COA Church organized by the AEUNA uniting the community in prayer, reflection and reversence. The service was centered on the scripture, "Struck down, but not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:9), a message that sepaks to the eduring faith and perseverance of the Armenian people through suffering and loss. The English message was deliverd by Rev. Haig Kherlopian, senior pastor of United Armenian Congregational Church. The Armenian message was delivered by Minas Atamian, youth pastor at Armenian Christian Fellowship of Orance County and and In-Care Student with the AEUNA.


The COA Church children's choir participated, offering special songs that lifted hearts in rememberance and hope.


Follwoing the worship service, a candle lighting ceremony took place at the church's khachkar. Attendees placed flowers and candles in solemn remembrance. This sacred gathering served as a powerful expression of unity, remembrance, and unwavering faith that lives on through generations.
