Camp AREV held its Young Adults Summer Camp over the weekend of September 11–13, 2026. It was a tremendous blessing, bringing together over 100 young adults for a weekend of worship, Scripture, fellowship, and community. The theme of the weekend, “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” drew from Psalm 23 and John 10, reminding us of Christ as our Good Shepherd who leads, provides for, and cares for His people.

Throughout the weekend, we enjoyed a beautiful time of worship led by guest worship leaders Jonathan Duff and Tyler Ratcliffe, creating meaningful opportunities for everyone to praise and seek the Lord together. The speaker of the weekend, Rev. Mgo Mekredijian, faithfully shared the Gospel through messages from Psalm 23 and John 10, encouraging the young adults to reflect on what it means to follow Christ and trust Him as their Shepherd.

One of the most meaningful moments of the weekend was the first baptism of Camp Arev camps: the baptism ceremony of Hanna Bender from Calvary Armenian Congregational Church of San Francisco. In the presence of her family, friends, and the gathered young adults, Hanna shared her testimony and publicly professed her faith in Christ. By God’s grace, she was baptized, making it a particularly special and memorable moment for everyone present. It was a beautiful testimony of God’s work in her life and a joy for the entire community to celebrate with her.

Saturday evening continued with a time of celebration and fellowship. Chef Marina had prepared an amazing meal for everyone, along with special kunefe and lokhoum desserts. Throughout the weekend, she also operated her coffee cart, serving specialty coffees and adding a special touch to the camp experience. From worship and teaching to meals, conversations, and time spent together, the weekend provided many opportunities for young adults to build relationships and enjoy fellowship with one another.

Overall, the Young Adults Summer Camp was a special weekend in which the Lord was honored through worship, the preaching of the Gospel, and fellowship. We praise God for the blessing of gathering together and for the opportunity to celebrate what He continues to do in the lives of our young adults.
