United Armenian Congregational Church welcomed 10 new members to the congregation during the December 4, 2022 worship service: Asdghig Catherine Abadjian, Nasry & Joelle Angel, Levon Babikian, Nancy Hanna, Carolyn Malconian, Alex Saghatelian & Christine Soussa, and Aram & Natalie Shemmassian. We praise God for their commitment and thank Him for continuing to grow his church and his body here at UACC!

On Friday, December 9th our Generations United group helped decorate the Fireside Room and Sanctuary, the Christmas tree on the stage as well as the smaller Christmas tree in the Narthex. Generations United had its own Christmas Party celebration on Friday, December 16th. We gathered together with all our different age groups that meet during Generations United, namely the youth, adults and children.

Our Young Couples group celebrated their Christmas party on Saturday, December 10th at Richard and Katie Phillips’ house with a delicious dinner and fun games and activities for the couples to compete in. They even had an impromptu musical performance with Rev. Harut playing piano and Richard Phillips playing saxophone leading everyone in some celebratory Christmas Carol singing!

Our Young Adults Bible Study group had their Christmas party on Tuesday, December 13th at the home of George and Dina Phillips. They enjoyed a four-course Middle Eastern meal prepared for by chefs Nasry Angel and Levon Babikian, and games including Charades, Pictionary, and some holiday themed challenges.

And our United Women had their annual Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday, December 13th. Their gathering started with the word of God presented to the group by Rev. Shant Barsoumian.

We celebrated Christmas Sunday at UACC on December 18th, 2022 with a wonderful worship service filled with special music and performances to get us into the Christmas spirit. Our church choir under the leadership of our Choir Director, Mr. Dan Arnold sang wonderful and festive songs, Sunday School children also sang Christmas songs in English, and the youth bell choir performed “Angels we have heard on high (Gloria!)”. Thanks again to out Sunday School Director, Mrs. Aylin Khachatryan for organizing the children’s performance and the music direction of Ani Marderosian for such a special and memorable Sunday School performance from the children of our church.

This year we had our Christmas Eve service Saturday, December 24th starting at 10pm in the evening. Many gathered to ring in Christmas together at church with Christmas carols, Scripture readings, and brief meditations by Rev. Harut Khachatryan and Rev. Shant Barsoumian.
