Rev. Harutyun Khachatryan ordained by AEUNA

Rev. Harutyun Khachatryan was granted ordained ministerial standing in the Armenian Evangelical Union of North American, and offered the right hand of Christian love and fellowship on December 12, 2021 at United Armenian Congregational Church, Los Angeles, CA.


Participants in the ordination service: AEUNA Ministry Committee Chair and UACC Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Ron Tovmassian, Camp AREV Director Rev. Razmig Minassian (representing AEUNA Moderator Rev. Calvin Sagherian), the candidate's father Murad Khachatryan, Dr. Priscila Adoyo and Rev. Dr. Peter Hintzoglou of International Theological Seminary, St. Nareg Church Pastor Joe Garabedian, Armenian Cilicia Evangelical Church Pastor Rev. Serop Megerditchian, Rev. Shant Barsoumian, Holy Trinity Armenian Church Pastor Rev. Dr. Ara Chakerian, Christian Outreach for Armenians Pastor Rev. Daniel Albarian, and immediate past Minister to the Union Rev. Berdj Djambazian. Rev. Hrag Karagoezian, Garo Sulahian, and Theodora Primes provided special music.

Interim Minister to the Union Rev. Hendrik Shanazarian led the Presentation and Examination of the Candidate to those assembled, declaring after the symbolic laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination, "In the name of Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, and by the authority of the AEUNA, I declare Harutyun Khachatryan to be ordained into the ministry of Jesus Christ and in keeping with his calling as a pastor, serving the congregation of the United Armenian Congregational Church."
